Yesterday was the annual, typical Dutch holiday where everybody in Holland wears orange: Kingsday. This day is one big party for Dutch people and tourists; a lot of people go to Amsterdam to celebrate the king’s birthday. There are flea markets, festivals and bars with music on the street everywhere on this day through the whole city.
Despite that it is not really my thing to dress up in orange and walk through the city all day; I can imagine why a lot of people do love it. It is part of the Dutch culture and if you never been to Holland to celebrate it I would really recommend it. It is an experience!
